גילוי עריות – ביטוי המתאר קיום יחסי מין בין קרובי משפחה. דהיינו, קיום יחסי מין בין אב לבתו, בין אם לִבנה, בין אח ואחות, בין דודים וכו'.
איסור גילוי עריות נחשב לאחד הטאבואים הנפוצים ביותר בין התרבויות האנושיות. במקרים ספורים בהיסטוריה האנושית היה גילוי עריות מנהג מקובל (אולי הידוע מביניהם הוא חצר המלוכה של מצרים העתיקה). אך לגילוי העריות הגדרות רבות ומגוונות – בעוד שבנצרות גורסים המחמירים כי אין להתחתן עם בני זוג שהם קרובים מדרגה שביעית, ביהדות מותר להתחתן עם בני דודים – קרובים מדרגה שנייה.
אנתרופולוגים תוהים, מזה שנים, על מקורו של האיסור הכמעט-אוניברסלי על גילוי עריות. לפגיעה מינית בילדים יש השלכות מיידיות. היא עלולה להיות חוויה טראומטית ובשל כך להשפיע על כל תחום בחייו של הילד הנפגע ועל מהלך התפתחותו התקינה. יחד עם  זאת ההשפעות אינן מוגבלות לתקופת הילדות: השלכות החוויה הטראומטית על תקופת הבגרות עלולות להיות קשות ולפגוע בהיבטים שונים של תפקוד האדם הבוגר.  יחסי גילוי עריות מהווים בראש ובראשונה פגיעה ביחסי האמון הראשונים עם הדמויות המשמעותיות לקורבן הנפגע. מכאן, שההשלכות הקשות ביותר בגילוי עריות הן בתחום היחסים הבינאישיים.
