תקציר העבודה

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte is a novel, which can be interpreted in many levels. I personally chose a psychological approach. I will claim that Catherine has an unstable personality structure that reflects on her relationship with Edgar and Heathcliff, thus making it problematic. On one hand, Catherine has a constructive side, which leads her to a productive relationship with Edgar that based on maturity, calmness, and continuity. On the other hand, she has a destructive side, which leads to a critical bond with Heathcliff that will bring her to disregard the environment, to satisfy only the individual, and to an emotional turmoil. Also, Catherine herself tries to make peace with her diametric edges in order to reach a peaceful and a balanced life; however, she does it unsuccessfully.
